Therapy is meant to be done in person, right?
I have to admit, I was skeptical at first, too. But then I tried it… both as a client and a therapist.
Technology can be challenging. The internet could go down. What will we do if we’re in the middle of a session? (I know you’re going to tell me I need to answer this question at some point – the answer is, we’ll create a backup plan together – there isn’t one that universal as far as I’m concerned!)
I was surprised that it felt fine… even good!
Really, it didn’t feel any different from traditional, in-person therapy.
Online therapy is convenient, provides more availability for scheduling sessions, cuts out travel time to and from the office, and provides safety during these difficult times.
And there are SO many benefits to online therapy.
For many people, being in the comfort of their home can make all the difference. You’re typically in a place where you feel safe and secure… in your comfy chair or couch. Some people even sit in bed!
Your pets will love you for it!
Pets can be a comfort and support source, something that may be helpful during a therapy session.
Another benefit is there’s no commute, except walking into the room of your choice. Say goodbye to fighting traffic and parking!
Plus, online sessions reduce childcare costs. Instead of paying a childcare provider, your children might be able to remain at home while we meet.
Most of all, online sessions provide the highest level of personal safety during this time of uncertainty.
Here’s how it works…
First of all, we’ll connect using my HIPPA-compliant platform through ZOOM, which means that your confidential information will stay safe in an online world.
It’s simple. Before each session, you’ll receive a link that you click on at the start of the session.
I’m here and ready to work with you at your pace.
Call (508) 254-5663 or email to get started with a free 20-minute consultation. I’ll share my approach and what our work will look like. We’ll also see if we feel we’re a good fit.
